FCT was recently contracted by an insurance company to remove fire damage from a Target store in Meadow Springs.
The store caught aflame when thieves crashed a stolen Land Rover Discovery into the front of the shopping centre rupturing the fuel tank. The blaze spread throughout the shopping centre, initiating the internal fire sprinkler system flooding the store and consequently damaging stock.
Due to the extensive smoke and water damage all stock is to be disposed of. A spokesperson from the Department of Fire and Emergency Services estimates the damages at $2.5 million.
FCT has commenced cleaning fire damage to the store with extensive cleaning works still to be completed. All stock is being disposed of and a thorough final clean will be done to ensure no soot is left behind.
